Sunny-side-up eggs do make me happy on beautiful sunny Saturday mornings in the woods,

The yolks look like little many happy suns to brighten my day.

Beef tapa (beef jerky) is always a good accompaniment to sunny-side-up eggs.

And this week's food discovery....spicy seaweed salad...

Who eats seaweed salad in the morning?
I DO!!!!

the sweet and spicy crunchiness compliments the runny eggs
(two umami tastes colliding!!!)

...and the chewy jerky

the three of them together in a meal  = delicious hearty breakfast

My guitarist awaits the  fried rice to complete the TAPSILOG breakfast

So do my  son's little nijago spinjitsu friends...

indeed, a beautiful Saturday morning!!!!

King Mushrooms

Pieurotus Eryngil
King Trumpet
French Horn
King Oyster
Boletos of the Steppes
Trumpet Royale
Cardoncello
They look funny...they're all stems, and very sparse caps.

My new food discovery

I chopped them in uniform pieces.

Sauteed them in  olive oil, garlic and drizzles of soysauce.

To me, eating the king mushrooms stems almost felt like eating sea scallops or abalone.
This easily made it to my list of favorites.
